Understanding Compensation Models

Bloomber supports three ways for shop owners to pay service professionals.

1) Commission Split

You earn a percentage of each service you complete.

  • Example: 60/40 split on a $50 haircut → You: $30, Shop: $20.
  • Best for: New professionals or building clientele.

2) Booth Rent

You pay a fixed amount to use the shop’s space.

  • Example: $500/week booth rent → First $500 each week goes to shop; rest is yours. Tips stay with you.
  • Best for: Established professionals with steady clients.

3) Hybrid Model

Combines commission and booth rent.

  • Example: 60/40 until $400, then you keep 100% after threshold.
  • Best for: Motivating performance while ensuring base rent.

Tips

  • Tips are tracked separately. Most shops let professionals keep 100% of tips; check your shop’s policy.
